Music & Talent Night
Roughly once a quarter, on a Friday evening, we gather together for a church-wide music and talent night when every member has the opportunity to share their talents, be it something musical, a poetry or Scripture recitation, or perhaps some jokes or a story. It’s a wonderful time of fellowship and a chance to build one another up as we share talents. Whether young or old, you’re sure to enjoy this evening, laugh heartily, and perhaps even learn something new.
Christ and Culture
Twice a year we invite everyone to join us for a movie night. We watch a family friendly movie with some weighty themes and discuss those themes after the movie to see how Christ is the only one who satisfies all longings and all yearnings.
Christmas Concert
Each Advent, Covenant hosts an old-time Christmas concert. Part concert, part congregational Christmas-caroling, it’s a time to enjoy some festive music and sing your favorite carols. The evening combines the instruments, rhythms, and tunes of American and European folk traditions along with many traditional Christmas carols that are known and loved. If you like fiddle, banjo, guitar, Irish bodhran, folk harp, low whistle, mountain dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, mandolin, and piano, you just might want to come to this one!
Visitor Sunday
Three times a year we specially invite our friends, family members, co-workers, and neighbors who are not believers to come and join us for worship service and share a fellowship meal with us as they can ask us any questions about our faith, about our Lord, and about our church. We are always encouraged to invite non-believers to our church but in these Sundays we get out of our comfort zone and make an intentional effort to invite people that we know who do not belong to Jesus.
Parenting and Marriage Seminars
Our goal is to have both parenting and marriage seminars a couple of times a year as we purpose to strengthen marriages, build up our parents for gospel parenting, and raise godly covenant children. For more information and dates, please contact Pastor Yasar and check the calendar.
Beach Picnic
This annual September event is a treasured opportunity to enjoy an extended time of fun and fellowship against the backdrop of the beautiful St. Augustine coast. It’s a casual cook-out with plenty of time to take advantage of the sea, sand and sun! Watch for details each August and plan to join us.
Give Away
EVERYTHING IS FREE! What a blessing it is to gather things we no longer use to give to those in need. Every summer we do this and then open the doors for all to come and receive.
“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ “ – Acts 20:35 ESV
