Reminders for Sunday: October 29, 2017

Children in Worship:

Young children are welcome and encouraged to join in our worship at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Both a nursery and training room are available as helps to families with young children. If you anticipate that your young child or children cannot exercise the necessary self-control to remain relatively quiet and still, please consider making use of either of these facilities out of consideration for your fellow worshippers particularly during the preaching of the Word. Ages 0-1 nursery is in the foyer while ages 2-4 children’s worship training is in the fellowship hall.

Ben Ward Receives Licensure:

Ben Ward is now licensed to preach the gospel! The presbytery was very pleased with his work and encouraged to see God’s grace at work in Ben’s life. Ben’s family, as well as a few friends, attended the licensure exam. It was a joyous occasion!

Operation Christmas Child

Our Church is participating in OCC this year! Shoeboxes filled with necessities and toys are delivered with a presentation of the gospel to impoverished children around the world. The last day to turn in your shoeboxes is November 12th. For more information, visit the info table in the narthex or contact Dana Baugher at

Men’s Prayer Breakfast

The Men’s Breakfast will be held at the church property on Saturday the 4th at 8:00 AM. The Masculine Mandate by Richard D. Phillips will be the literature for discussion.

Operation Christmas Child

Last day for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to be turned in.

A choir is starting in November. Please contact Betty Jenkins or Durinda Conner if you are interested.

NEW VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED as our body of covenant children continues to increase “Praise the Lord!” Please contact Tracy Wells at if you wish to become a children’s volunteer.

Terressa Duggan, church hostess, is asking for those led to help in the kitchen to contact her at or 904-687-4726. As we’ve grown, “Praise the Lord!”, we need a few more helpers during events such as potluck dinners, celebrations, and special festivities. Thank you in advance!!
